CARMEL RILEY, Regional Manager, SENVIC
Carmel is a career loving, single parent of three school aged children, identifying as neurodiverse and a member of the LGBTIQA+ community. She has served the Gippsland, Australian and international community for 19 years.
She is well recognised her inclusive leadership, social disruption, expertise in navigating complexity, and is passionate about all things shared value.
Carmel is the founder of Work Integrated Social Enterprise (WISE) – CRSE (Consulting Reimagined Social Enterprise) Group and in her spare time loves supporting others to reclaim joy and community connection through her side hustle Baw Baw Ballroom Basics.
Carmel’s experience spans across private sector, government agencies and not-for-profit organisations throughout a wide range of community focused industries. She has also relished her role as a small business mentor to clients ranging from the wellbeing and creative sector, through to construction, engineering, and real estate.
In 2020, Carmel graduated from an Executive Master of Business Administration (International Leaderships/Social Impact) and in 2021, Carmel received her award as a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She also holds a Bachelor of speech pathology and Graduate Certificate in family therapy.
When Carmel isn’t on the dance floor, she has a never-ending thirst for travel and immersion in new cultures, languages and experiences – and the opportunity to dance whilst travelling is just the bees knees!
Carmel aspires to honour the legacy of her predecessors to this role and is committed to amplifying regional voice at every opportunity as we contribute towards a thriving Victorian social enterprise ecosystem.
