Impact is the new buzzword, it is everywhere organisations sprinkle it across their marketing like glitter. Every business is now making an impact! But what does it really mean? Like other buzzwords before it such as “green” and “sustainable” it is losing its true meaning and like green washing, impact washing is everywhere!
In this presentation we will unpack the meaning of impact, and specific definitions related to impact measuring using relatable examples. We will bust some impact myths, introduce you to the art of impact monitoring, and walk you the process of designing impact measurement frameworks in the context of ‘for purpose’ businesses.
As a business owner you will get a better understanding how you can measure and communicate your impact in an authentic and truthful way. As a consumer you will be able to become much more discerning and spot the businesses that are truly making an impact.
