RMIT University is delighted to host Dr Lucy Montgomery, Professor of Knowledge Innovation at Curtin University, for a keynote address on Wednesday 22 November as part of the Social Change Symposium.
In this talk, Professor Montgomery will introduce the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative, a project born out of frustration and intended to help senior leaders look beyond league tables and citation counts as indicators of the ‘quality’ and ‘value’ of research.
Professor Montgomery will examine what the data can reveal about the ways in which open research practices support social impact. She will also discuss the practical strategies that the project team is using to maximise the visibility, accessibility and usefulness of its work to diverse communities beyond the university.
Please join us for this conversation and to learn about the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative.
Refreshments will be available after the keynote.
