14 March @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Elevating Social Procurement in Gippsland – Regional Roadshow: bringing together social enterprises, business and governments located in the Gippsland Region.

Did you know more than 160 business and government organisations have caught on and are already leading the charge in business for good?

Presented by Gippsland Social Enterprise CollectiveSocial Traders and SENVIC, this showcase is ideal for all who play a part in the shift to #businessforgood and will provide practical insight into the current social procurement landscape, whilst meeting like-minded individuals and making new business connections.

Organisations across Australia are exploring innovative new approaches to achieving social objectives through social procurement. Buying from a social enterprise is one of the most effective ways of breaking the cycle of disadvantage and strengthening regional Australian communities.

Through open discussion and a facilitated Q&A you will hear from leaders in social procurement and local social enterprises and explore the challenges & wins they have faced in social procurement, providing solutions that will enable you to take advantage of social procurement opportunities across the supply chain.

You will come away from this session feeling inspired by the potential of social procurement in Gippsland and learn about upcoming place-based learning and development events to be co-designed and delivered across the six local government catchments of Gippsland

Speakers include:

  • Social Benefit Buyers – Marinus Link, Whelans Group
